Vines on the Marycrest is the name behind Rhone blends such as “Heart of Glass”,”‘Round Midnight”, “Satin Doll” and their multiple Gold Medal winning Zinfandel blend, “My Generation”. Varietal releases include Syrah, Petite Sirah, Mourvedre, Zinfandel from the Remo Belli Vineyard, and ultra small lots of Barbera, Tempranillo, Grenache and Late Harvest Syrah dessert wine.

In 2004 Jennifer and Victor Abascal came to Paso Robles to realize the dream of owning a vineyard and winery. The project began with tending to Zinfandel vines planted in the 1960s by Richard Sauret and then slowly converting the 26-acre almond orchard to vineyards. Carlotta’s Vineyard is a 3.5-acre field blend which will soon be blended into “Spanish Bombs.” The next vines planted were Zinfandel and went into Buck’s Bit to expand and increase the number of Zin vines. Carter’s Crest, a steep west facing slope is planted to Grenache, Mourvedre, Counoise and Cinsault.

We hope you will join us in the tasting room, a modern design by renowned architect Vitus Matare. Come experience our artful handmade wines, modern architecture, and the rustic hills that define VOTM. Located off Nacimiento Lake Drive about 3.5 miles out of town at 5076 Mustard Creek Road across the street from Chronic Cellars.

Vines on the Marycrest is testament to the force behind Victor Abascal who several years ago planted his first vines atop the Culver Crest at Marycrest Manor. Come taste the wines
